about Lucy
With over three decades of experience in the world of bodywork, Lucy Crawford has forged a profound connection between movement, touch, and self-discovery. Her journey began in 1990 when she embarked on her career as an Aromatherapist, Massage Therapist, and Bodywork Practitioner at Natureworks in Central London. Fascinated by the transformative power of movement, Lucy delved into the practice of Yoga in 1992 under the guidance of Derek Ireland and Radha Warrell in London.
Lucy’s passion for Yoga led her to India in December 1993, where she embarked on a life-changing study with the revered Shri K. Pattabhi Jois. Under Guruji’s tutelage, Lucy received his esteemed blessing to teach in 1995, marking the beginning of her dedicated journey of sharing the transformative practice of Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga with others.
Today, Lucy’s impact as a renowned Yoga teacher extends far and wide. She conducts enriching Yoga workshops across the United Kingdom and around the globe, offering transformative Yoga retreats, Continuing Professional Development (CPD) programs for teachers, and empowering 200-hour Teacher Training.
Lucy’s teaching style has evolved into a captivating blend of anatomical precision and experiential exploration. Informed by her deep understanding of Craniosacral Therapy and her extensive study and work with Fascia, she invites students to embark on a journey of self-discovery through movement.
Lucy’s profound insight into the body’s response to touch and presence has shaped her unique approach to teaching. By cultivating an environment of intelligent touch, deep listening, and unwavering attention, Lucy encourages the body to respond with softening and release. With a background in Aromatherapy, Applied Kinesiology, Holistic Massage, Bodywork, and Chavutti Thirimal (Indian Foot Pressure Massage), she brings a multidimensional perspective to her teachings. Moreover, as a qualified Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapist with two decades of experience, Lucy has made a significant impact as a Tutor at the esteemed ‘Karuna Institute of Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy’ in Devon.
